I will call you by name / I will share your road / Hold me fast / Cause I’m a hopeless wanderer / I will learn, I will learn to love the sky I wander

This is Caroline. She’s 24 and works as a tailor in Berlin. The redhead clearly has what you’d call an eye for detail and does not only observe everything what’s happening and what might happen around her, but seems to breathe her surroundings in. They work inside her mind and make her come to conclusions and a degree of peace, which you can clearly see on the photos below.

While that is what everyone does from time to time, depending on one’s mood and the day, Caroline says she needs to take that extra close look at people and the fabrics she tailors to remain relaxed. While I’m the complete opposite and quite often appear absolutely absent and maybe even a little apathetical after a stressful day, she inspired me to not simply pull my books out and ignore the faces and places around me, but to remain thirsty for new impressions and strikingly different observations.

This is the first black and white part of a – mostly colourful – shoot, stay tuned for my favourites, her face dipped in bright yet soft sunlight.
